AI Value Assessment
Four weeks, one use case, real customer data. You get the concrete number in euros on your own portfolio — not on a consultant's slide. For trading, direct marketing and generation.

Why you need the number — not a presentation.
The pattern I keep seeing in trading and direct marketing: an AI project rarely fails on the technology. It fails on the missing business case on real data. Consultant slides with "typical forecast improvements of 10 to 20 percent" do not convince the CFO — and the managing director does not want to commission another study, they want to make a decision.
The assessment turns that around. Four weeks, one clearly scoped use case, your own data. At the end there is a number in euros — quantified, traceable, backed by a working prototype. Not typical, but concrete on your portfolio.
What you have after four weeks.
Three deliverables, nothing more. Each of them is built so the management team can take an investment decision — not "study further", but commission or not.
- 1. The number Quantified business case in euros on your real portfolio. Example: "Forecast error −18 % = EUR 240k per year in reduced imbalance-energy cost." Traceable down to the balancing-group level.
- 2. The proof Working prototype on your data. No slide, no simulation on sample data — the actual model on your portfolio, in a format your team can take over.
- 3. The path Implementation roadmap with a concrete phase-2 offer: what, when, with which team, at what price. You decide at the results meeting whether to go the path — with or without us.
What the four weeks look like.
Clearly cadenced, transparent, with a hard endpoint: the results meeting with your management team or head of trading. That meeting is in the contract — so the results land where decisions are made.
Kick-off & data intake
Use-case sharpening, data access set up, acceptance criteria fixed. At the end of the week the data basis is in place and there is a shared understanding of what has to be on the table in week 4.
Analysis
Data exploration, model set-up, baseline. Examples: back-testing a forecast model against your actual forecasts over 12 months of history. Or simulating a negative-price steering strategy on your real portfolio.
Prototype & business case
Working prototype in place, business case quantified. First interim review with your subject-matter contact — fine-tuning before the results go into the meeting.
Results meeting
Presentation to the managing director or head of trading. The number, the prototype, the roadmap — plus the concrete phase-2 offer. You decide.
How we work.
Four principles that set the assessment apart from a typical consulting engagement:
- One use case. No ten-topic analysis with a prioritisation matrix. One concrete case, deep. If you want to probe two cases in parallel: two assessments back-to-back.
- Real data, not samples. Your historical forecasts, your schedules, your imbalance-energy settlements. Sample data would be cheaper — and would tell you nothing.
- Results meeting contractually guaranteed. The meeting with the managing director or head of trading is a condition in the offer. So results land where the decision happens — not in a folder.
- Credited on commission. If you commission the implementation programme within eight weeks after the meeting, the assessment fee is fully credited to the programme phase. The no-risk sits with us, not with you.
Who this fits — and what you bring.
The assessment is deliberately narrow in scope. It only works if two preconditions are met:
Ideal starting point
- Trading, direct marketing or generation
- A concrete AI/analytics use case for which data already exists (forecasting, imbalance energy, negative-price steering, schedule optimisation, etc.)
- The managing director or head of trading is prepared to attend the results meeting personally
- Willingness to fund a subsequent implementation in at least the six-figure range if the case pays off
What you contribute
- Data access: historical forecasts, schedules, imbalance-energy settlements or equivalent
- Subject-matter contact: roughly 2 hours per week for questions and interim reviews
- Slot in week 4 for the results meeting with the managing director or head of trading
- Willingness to carry the result internally — including a negative outcome

30-minute scoping call. We check whether the scope fits a 4-week assessment — and if so, which of the two slots next month is still open.
